VOLUNTEER SCOREKERS NEEDED FOR
Boys/Girls 7-9 and 10-11 only
(PARENTS: try to bring a volunteer scorekeeper)
WE NEED YOUR HELP in obtaining scorekeepers (not parents) for each group in the above flights only. Last year! some of the parents were kind enough to help by acting as scorekeepers for the group immediately before and after their child!s group. (General knowledge of golf helpful)
SCHEDULE: AM only

March 29-30 9 holes Hank's Par 3
March 31- April 1 9 holes Riverpark Golf Center
SCOREKEEPING PROCEDURE: Scorekeepers' score is official score. Juniors encouraged to keep their own score on a separate card, which prepares junior who will need to keep competitor's score when reaching age 12.
Scorekeepers mark each stroke of each player (easy scorekeeping form provided). At the end of each hole Scorekeeper asks each junior his score. If they do not agree Scorekeeper should go over with junior the number of strokes to reach the green and number of putts. Scorekeepers total is the official score and should not be changed after agreement reached between Scorekeeper and junior. Scorekeeper should notify Committee of any cheating and should monitor gallery for any violations. If ruling question arises junior should hit provisional ball (stating so to his group in which event scorekeeper must keep record of both balls). If no Rules Official then available Scorekeeper and junior should see Rules Official for decision at end of round. Scorekeepers should remind juniors to hold up his/her shot while Scorekeeper" is assisting player in searching for lost ball! etc.
GALLERY: COMMITTEE!JGANC CODE OF CONDUCT: (a) Gallery must walk 25 yards away from competitors to the side on cart paths. (b) Gallery must not talk to competitors other than "good shot" etc. for ALL players. (c) Gallery must not get involved in scoring or rulings and continue to observe the 25 yd. Distance requirement.
