ELIGIBILITY:
Any
boy/girl who has not reached his/her 18th birthday by midnight April 9,
2009. No qualifying rounds necessary. Tournament Committee reserves the
right to require entrants to meet the following average standards of
performance for 18 holes - 9 holes 7-11 flights:

STROKE
PLAY-STARTING TIMES:
Starting times will be sent by mail, e-mail ( on website:
www.lenross.com) approx. 5 days before tournament showing
starting time, rules, and specific golf course; No adjustments.
Contestants must be on tee ground at scheduled time and at correct golf
course; failure to appear may result in disqualification.

BOYS & GIRLS 7-9 -- 9 holes (final round 5
holes) BOYS & GIRLS 10-11 -- 9 holes each day
PLAYED:
ALL OTHER BOYS: 18 holes each day.
ALL OTHER GIRLS:
18 holes each day.
CUT:
36-hole cut (50%) and 54-hole cut (40%). (18 hole
players) Possible cut final round: Boys &
Girls 7 – 11 flights)
COURSES:
Monday: Riverside, Fig Garden, Airways, Hanks;
Tuesday/Wednesday: Airways, Fig Garden, Riverside, Hanks,
Riverpark.. Thursday final round at Belmont C.C. ( Please do
not ask for special treatment).
AWARDS:
Awards will be presented immediately following Thursday’s final round at
Belmont CC. You must be present to receive award or award will be given
to next in line (at discretion of Tournament Committee). Separate awards
ceremony for 7 – 11 boys/girls flights after final round scores posted.
RULES:
U.S.G.A.
rules and local rules apply to all players. No electric or gas carts
(except Officials, Belmont C.C. members on final round
and/or as authorized) until completion of play. Spectators
(including parents) must not converse, advise, coach, or hinder any
player’s game and stay at least 25 yards from players at sides of
fairways; stay off greens: no radios or cell phones on course;
authorized cameras only. -- Rules strictly enforced.
(Slow play will
be monitored (18 holes in 41/2 hours
- Single
warning.)
CADDIES:
None allowed
for any age group. (Pull carts OK). JGANC: This tournament is
sanctioned by JUNIOR GOLF ASSOCIATION OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, its
dress code and all rules will be strictly enforced.
2009 62nd LEN ROSS FRESNO CITY JUNIOR AMATEUR
GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP April 6th
through April 9th, 2009

Dear Junior Golfer:
Enclosed is entry blank for 2009 62nd LEN
ROSS-FRESNIO CITY JUNIOR AMATEUR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP. Last year
over many players were unable to compete due to the quota being reached,
or because of incomplete entry blanks or late entries. You should
immediately properly fill out the entry, have one of your parents sign
the release form and mail the upper portion with $40.00 ($36.00 for
boys and girls 7 – 9 and 10 – 11), check or money order payable
to LEN ROSS-FRESNO CITY JR. Do not delay. Prompt response
is a must, thus assuring you of a spot in this premier tournament of 62
years. (Maximum JGANC points). Late entry or full quota (first 150
excluding 7-9/10-11) may deny you a spot. Applications are accepted as
of date of receipt by Director. NO POST ENTRIES – NO REFUNDS.
READ ENTRY CAREFULLY. CHECK YOUR SPRING VACATION DATE TO BE SURE IT
COINCIDES WITH THE TOURNAMENT DATES. Clearly print your
e-mail address and Fax number on the entry blank. ELIGIBILITY: Note
your age-group average score requirements.
ATTENTION:
PACE OF PLAY – STRICTLY ENFORCED. Suggest you read and understand
USGA Rule 6-7 “Pace of Play – Undue Delay; Slow Play”. (18 holes
should be completed in 4 ½ hours)
